WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL BE LEARNING:
TWO AND HALF YEAR OLD (30 MONTHS)

At the Freedom Child Learning Center we understand that two and a half year-olds are in a critical developmental stage of their lives. They are constantly investigating the world around them. This is our early Pre-school. Our staff and teachers understand each child’s uniqueness and the need to provide learning in a nurturing environment. We use the ABeka curriculum, which allows us to adjust to your child’s learning style.

• Active in learning and developing small – motor skills
o Introducing Numbers
o Introducing Colors
o Developing hand and eye coordination with brushes, crayons, and chalk (Art Activities)
o Manipulating objects, putting them together and taking them apart. (Blocks, Legos, etc.)
o Sharing
• Active in learning and developing large – motor skills
o Outdoor play (throw and catch)
o Discovering outdoor areas
o Taking walks
o Learning how to actively participate in group activities
• Developing language skills
o Listening to short stories
o Learning names of animals and different objects.
o Learning the name of body parts

Children have their own reachable cubbies. In addition, the classroom has low shelves, with supplies allowing them to be involved and use their creativity during free time. We are also committed to assisting the parents in potty training.
